What to Expect
Our Mission
Our clinical mission is to provide evidence-based, data-driven interventions that restore physiological homeostasis and optimise biochemical function. We recognise that behind every lab result is a person seeking to reclaim their vitality; therefore, we are dedicated to equipping our clients with the clinical insights and therapeutic strategies necessary to achieve and sustain peak systemic health, through a partnership built on listening and scientific excellence.
What to Expect
We work as medical detectives to identify the root causes of your health challenges. Our team provides a non-judgmental, unhurried environment where you are truly heard, and we use that information to inspire and educate you toward recovery.
• The Timeline: Most clients observe significant progress within the first 6 months.
• The Process: Approximately 20% of cases require “deeper digging”—such as investigating deeper hormonal imbalance, gut health, heavy metals, mould, or deep trauma—before recovery begins.
• The Path: When dealing with complex, multi-system dysfunction, recovery is rarely a straight line; it is often “two steps forward and one step back.” We are here to navigate that path with you.
Your Commitment
To achieve your health goals, we ask that:
• You are curious to learn about your health and motivated to change your lifestyle and take the necessary nutrients, medicines and supplements.
• You are willing to dedicate the time required to work on your health.
• You have the means to finance your journey (appointments, testing, and consulting with other therapists).
• You have community support.
Scheduling
The following is a general guideline for your visits. As we believe in bio-individuality, our services are always tailored to your specific clinical needs.
1. Comprehensive Initial Assessment Panel
This panel initiates your care and covers the complete medical intake, case review, and baseline clinical strategy. It is billed as a single, non-itemised fee and includes:
Clinical Review & Investigation: A 60-minute in-person clinical consultation with one of our Integrative Doctors.
Integrative Naturopathic Analysis: A dedicated 45-minute online consultation with our Integrative Naturopath to establish your baseline for diet and lifestyle.
Note: Because our team collaborates behind the scenes on your case analysis, this foundational fee is comprehensive and cannot be split, discounted, or refunded if a component is declined.
2. The Report of Findings (Review Panel)
Scheduled usually 4–8 weeks after your initial panel, this phase finalises your long-term medical roadmap once all diagnostic data have been collected. It is billed as a single, comprehensive fee and includes:
Note: Because our medical and naturopathic protocols are interdependent, this review panel is structured as a single comprehensive fee and cannot be split, itemised, or discounted if a component is declined.
Medical Diagnostic Review: A 45-minute consultation with your Integrative Doctor to break down your test results and establish the clinical framework.
Naturopathic Strategy & Implementation: A 45-minute online consultation with your Naturopath to structure the practical prescription, dietary, and lifestyle steps required to execute the doctor’s plan.
3. Subsequent Appointments & Maintenance Follow-up appointments may vary from 4–12 week intervals, and can be scheduled with a doctor or a naturopath as needed.
4. Sustaining Success: The Bio-Optimisation “WOF”
Once you have achieved your primary health goals, our focus shifts from recovery to long-term resilience. We highly recommend a “Warrant of Fitness” (WOF) check every 6 to 12 months to ensure your biochemistry remains optimal. These regular check-ins allow our team to:
• Fine-tune maintenance nutrients as your life circumstances or age-related needs evolve.
• Identify subtle biochemical shifts before they manifest as symptoms.
• Reinforce the high-performance habits that restored your health, preventing a return to the underlying dysfunctions that first brought you to the clinic.
We are committed to helping you not just “get well,” but stay well for the decades to come.
5. Email Support Between Visits. Your fee includes two brief email communications between appointments for short, practical questions (such as clarifying dosages, supplement timing, or minor side effects). Complex queries or new symptoms will require a scheduled consultation to ensure your health is managed safely and thoroughly.
Supplements
At Integrative Health Clinic, we specialise in utilising targeted nutrients, hormones, herbs and medicines to balance your biochemistry. We prescribe practitioner-only supplements or high-quality brands with proven purity.
A Note on Quality: We strongly recommend avoiding low-cost nutrients from unknown companies. Substituting with cheaper versions may be ineffective or even harmful due to potential contaminants like lead or mercury. Using alternatives may result in failing to achieve the clinical outcomes we are aiming for.
Telemedicine & Clinic Etiquette
To maximise your investment:
• Commit Fully: Ensure a private, quiet space for your telemedicine appointment where you will not be disturbed.
• Punctuality: We pride ourselves on respecting our clients’ schedules. Sessions end on time to maintain a respectful flow for all; please arrive promptly to make the most of our time together.
Cost & Investment
Our clinic is entirely self-funded and receives no government subsidies. The cost of each consultation covers:
• Direct time with our medical and naturopathic team.
• Extensive preparation (analysing intake forms and questionnaires).
• Detailed analysis of lab results and the creation of a personalised treatment plan.
• Two brief email communications between visits.
Additional Costs to Consider
To ensure complete financial transparency, please note the following potential out-of-pocket costs:
Laboratory Testing: While basic routine blood tests are government-funded, specialised or vital nutrient tests must be self-funded (typically $180–$500 NZD).
Functional Testing & Interpretation: Specialised functional tests (e.g., DUTCH, advanced gut microbiome) are billed in two parts:
Laboratory Fees: The cost of the test kit itself, paid directly to the testing facility.
Clinical Interpretation Fee: A separate charge from our clinic to cover the comprehensive medical analysis, research, and synthesis of these complex functional markers into your master treatment plan. This will be discussed and agreed upon at the time of ordering.
Prescriptions: Most targeted, specialised medical nutrients and compounding prescriptions are self-funded.
Extra Correspondence: Your care package includes up to two brief email exchanges between appointments. Emails beyond this limit or requiring detailed clinical review will incur an extra charge.
